If any of you happen to watch The Oprah Winfrey Show, (GASP!) you may have caught Karrine Stephans, the self proclaimed “World’s Most Notorious Hip-Hop Groupie” and author of the New York Times bestseller “Confessions Of A Video Vixen,” when she appeared on the show earlier this month.
Karrine Stephans stars in the latest film from Vivid Entertainment, SuperHead. Although she obviously wasn’t invited to the show to promote her new DVD, the new film was mentioned on the show and gained some nationwide publicity. Karrine was actually on the show to warn parents about the life of a music video actress, proclaiming that it can lead to being exploited by performers and others in the hip-hop industry.
Karrine Stephans gained notoriety when she was exposed for having sex with many hip-hop artists including Usher, P. Diddy, Jay-Z, and Ja Rule. SuperHead was actually filmed before her sexual encounters with the rappers when she shot one movie for Vivid Entertainment.
Karrine stars along side the legendary Mr. Marcus in Superhead. Mr. Marcus had this to say about working with Karrine; “I was shooting the Mr. Marcus’ Neighborhood Series for Vivid in the summer of 2000,” Marcus told XBIZ. “An agent contacted me about Karrine. She was real pretty, had a great personality, we clicked. I shot her scene, and she blew me a way. I couldn’t even hang with this girl. I wanted to put her under contract. What she did, orally, came from a real place; that’s where the name ‘Superhead’ came from. I got shit for it because I came too fast, but it became almost folklore in the industry. People would ask me about her every time… and she only did that one movie.”
